| Careful surface preparation is the key to a beautiful Klenks finish. Klenks Epoxies may be used on porcelain, ceramic, steel, wood, and some hard plastics. The surface should be clean and completely dry. Glossy porcelain and ceramic surfaces must be etched with the included Klenks Porcelain Prep. Klenks finishes can be tinted with universal colorants- up to 1/4 oz. of colorant per quart of finish. This will result in a pastel shade. Klenks may be applied with a brush, high-density foam roller or sprayer. The temperature should be between 65 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and humidity below 80%. For more information, refer to the instruction sheet. Allow the finish to dry for 1-2 hours between coats. After applying Klenks, it will be approximately 5-7 days until you can use the tub or surface again. Although you can properly prepare and paint the surface in a day or two, the remaining time is necessary for the epoxy to cure completely. Klenks Epoxy is non-toxic and lead-free when completely dry. |
